The 3rd Annual ACDC ride is a week-and-a-half away. Registrations have been coming in. Are you registered yet? You can register on the day of event, but pre-registration will save you a little cash and ensure you get the right size t-shirt. Click here to download a registration form if you need it.

If you have friends or family members who do not ride, but who would enjoy listening to some fantastic live music at Trestle Park, please encourage them to join us. Lunch (hot dog, chips, and a drink) is only two bucks! (Of course, I’m sure it goes without saying that additional donations are greatly appreciated.)

And now, what you’ve all been waiting for: the route maps.

I’m treating riders on both routes to a nasty climb early on, and I’ve marked them with a King of the Mountain flag so you can envision yourself in a polka-dotted jersey while you desperately try to ignore the burning sensation in your legs and lungs.

In addition to the water and fruit stops along the bike path, which few riders on these routes are likely to use, there will be a stop around mile 16 for the 25-mile route, and stops around mile 21.5 (Blissfield) and mile 35.5 on the 50-mile route.

This is going to be great. I really hope to see you there.

  1. Looks like a fun ride- you guys are going to have fun going down demmings lake rd- that road is NASTY to cars let alone road bikes with no suspension and 100 PSI +tires. Hoping it goes well!
