This is one of those occasions when I wish I’d had a camera. Only a picture could do it justice. I visited a local bike shop today that I hadn’t been to before. It was a really nice shop, very welcoming, with a spread of probably 20 or 30 new bikes lined up on the sidewalk out front. Right next door: a fitness club. And what do I see right through the window? People on stationary bikes. Oh, I failed to mention that it was sunny and about 70 degrees outside. The best part: I think we can be fairly certain that most, if not all of those folks pedaling in place had cars in the parking lot.

My CommuteWant a taste of what it's like to see our fair city from the perspective of a bicycle? Click here to watch my commute. (My former commute, that is. Now I ride from Raisin Township.) I can assure you it isn't nearly as bumpy as the camera makes it seem!
